How to Get a Medical Marijuana Card-State-by-state guide on how to register and obtain a card

I’m starting the process to get my Alaskan RX card for marijuana. My doctor brought it up and recommended it herself! She knew I’d been using it, off and on, for several years – I do NOT lie to my doctors about anything; I’m too sick and on too many other meds to ever lie. Lying could kill me! But when she suggested it, I printed out the forms, and then we just mail them (she and I) to AK’s Vital Stats Dept in Juneau. What I do not understand is just what is this ‘application’ – it’s really not an application, it’s more like a notification. And as for who ‘approves’ these – like, WHO in a Vital Stats Dept would have the medical knowledge and authority to disapprove OR approve ANYTHING prescribed by a physician?! Is there some kind of ad hoc committee there? Made up of whom? Who gets that list from Vital Stats – law enforcement? And now .. what if I cannot grow it myself? I have tried and I bomb it every time. I don’t have a green thumb. Can someone else come to my home and be my gardener? I cant find ANYWHERE where it says how many plants I can have either! HELP!
