I would much rather have hemp clothes honestly. I’ve been trying to buy only organic cotton, not knowing the possibility’s that hemp had. It sounds like the answers to half of the words problems from the way you’re describing. I wonder what we as the people could do to make hemp legal, since they are making weed legal now “for medical reasons”. America is really bass ackwards sometimes.
I am glad to see this information in print again, People need to know this information and a lot of them still do not know the truth,Ask a politician? Try that and most of them will go into a speech against the legalization of drugs, They simply refuse to acknowledge the difference, Regardless how stupid it makes them look.
wow thank you – this is a great summary on the history/ potential of industrialized hemp! Since my brother and I started our apparel we’ve constantly sought out the best fabrics for our production. We currently use recycled fabrics in our products. Though the more we learn, the more we understand and respect hemp as an amazing crop. For example, due to its high yield, if all us cotton crops were replaced with hemp a plot of land the size of florida would open up.
The benefits of this crop are clear, they just need to be told. We’re planning to film a ‘PSA’ and publish it to our ytube page http://www.youtube.com/holsteetv … let me know if your interested in maybe being a part of that?
Best, Michael
