It does consume Water like us Humans do.
It can provide us with,Clothing,Medicine,Food,Building Materials,Oil, All along with the Many different uses when combined with other natural resources.
Are those NOT the necessary needs of Mankind?
If that is what a person believes, Who are WE to say they cannot practice it?
Yes it explicitly states in Genesis that HE Created ALL seed bearing Plants for ALL MAN & Animal and seen they were GOOD!!!!!
