This is truly sad, but it is cases like this which highlight the need for us to demand our leaders actually confront the overall issues here instead of passing the buck to somebody else in the future.
It has become painfully obvious to a growing number of people that prohibition is a terribly failed policy, and must be ended if we ever want to live in a prosperous society again. If you have doubts, please consider the arguments presented by Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (www.leap.cc), an organization which has been educating fellow “drug warriors” and the public since 2002 and continues to lead the way on working towards an end to this insanity.
