To celebrate the record year Grand Theft Auto Online Experienced in 2020, Rockstar Games rewards players with a host of bonuses that include clothes, cars, and several other goodies. Rockstar recently announced that GTA Online managed to break their own records in 2020, racking up more players last year than in previous years. Without a doubt, this counts as an achievement for a game approaching its eighth active year.
Grand Theft Auto V continues to break sales records, recently reaching the milestone of 140 million copies sold. This unwavering growth is no doubt driven by Rockstar’s continued support for GTA Online. In fact, the studio kicked off the sequel’s biggest update online late last year when it rolled out Cayo Perico Heist, which brought in new music, new characters, and the Private Island. of Cayo Perico in the mix. And now, players have even more content to delve into in the coming weeks.

Over the next four weeks, Rockstar celebrates GTA Online record year by offering the community a wide variety of bonuses. The Dinka Verus All-Terrain Vehicle is the first of these rewards, which players can access for free by March 3 at Warstock Cache & Carry. Additionally, players can earn double the rewards from each contact mission they accept until February 24. Those who participate in open wheel races will receive double RP and monetary rewards. And double pay is also paid to anyone who completes Biker Bell missions until February 24. GTA Online this week, you can also expect to receive a free Dinka t-shirt in honor of the release of Verus; Additionally, completing casino work for next week will give fans access to the Neon Emissive Mask.
Additionally, longtime fans should be happy to hear of the return of Peyote, rare plants that bloom in the wild and are known to take people along on the journey. Bodyguards and associates are also benefiting from the celebration, with SecuroServ tripling their salaries for the rest of the week. Discounts are also worth considering, with the Master Penthouse Suites, MC Clubhouses, and MC Businesses all marked at 50% off. And several cars got 40% off, including Progen PR4, Declasse DR1 and Benefactor BR8.
It remains to be seen how Rockstar plans to add even more value to the experience over the course of this year. Details on future updates and the like are not known at this time. However, the team is working hard on PlayStation 5 and possibly Xbox Series X | S, upgrades for Grand Theft Auto 5. The upgrades themselves still don’t have a launch date, but are expected to arrive in the second half of 2021.
Of course, the studio also continues to offer content for Red Dead Online. It had an amazing 2020 in its own right, completed with a major update and the release of a standalone version Red Dead Online package. Interestingly, the latest update to the online sequel went live earlier this week, adding three new single-player missions and plenty of special rewards.
