Pujara ran out today: The senior Indian drummer was extremely unhappy to be sacked on the first move of Matchday 3 in Chennai.
On day three of the second try of the ongoing English India tour in Chennai, Indian drummer Cheteshwar Pujara came out in an extremely unhappy manner within the first 10 minutes of the day.
It all happened in the final delivery of the 19th when Pujara took out to England Moeen Ali to hit the ball straight to Ollie Pope in the short leg.
Pujara, who was conscious enough to return to the fold, would have made his way into the general course of things. However, his attempt to come back on that particular occasion saw his stick get stuck in the field.
While Pujara did his best to get back to the crease with his foot, it was too late as England wicket keeper Ben Foakes had dislodged the bailouts so far. Having only played five deliveries today, Pujara couldn’t add to his overnight score of 7.
As the ball at the MA Chidambaram stadium continues to spin sharply, India lost its side half for less than 100 points as the English spinners made forays into the lineup of Indian hitters.
Currently leading 291 races, the hosts would be confident of excessive races behind them on this surface. It should be mentioned that Indian captain Virat Kohli and all-rounder Axar Patel are currently fighting in the middle.

How Twitterati responded:
A piece of doom for Pujara and a brilliant punch from Foakes means England had a dream start to the morning.

To be fair, you need some unorthodox strategies to dismiss Pujara these days … #INDvENG https://t.co/pHZneGmjqr
