Fans of talk show diva Wendy Williams received news about Thursday when the media maven’s social media pages reported that “ongoing health concerns” forced her to cancel her show’s promo.
“Wendy is struggling with ongoing health issues and is undergoing further assessments,” read @WendyShow’s latest Instagram post. “She won’t be able to complete her promotional activities next week, but can’t wait to be back in her purple chair on Monday, September 20 for the Season 13 premiere.”
Fans and other celebrities were seen wishing her well in the comments section, including gossip dog Perez Hilton, who wrote: “Get Well Wendy.”

Sources tell Page Six the show returned to the office this week and the production is gearing up for its season premiere.
Williams, 57, has previously discussed several health issues in her daytime series, including her battle with Graves’ disease, which prompted the host to suspend her show in the spring of 2020.

She also took a week off after first announcing her diagnosis of Graves’ disease – a condition that causes the immune system to attack the thyroid – in early 2018.
“My thyroid was totally cattywampus,” she told her audience at the time. “I feel like there are birds swimming around my head… Constantly high. But not high,” she added.
“My doctor prescribed me – are you ready? Three weeks of vacation. I was angry. More performances, really? “

She also fainted on live television in October 2017, attributing the incident to overheating.
