90 Day Fiance star Kalani recently opened up about how her appearance on Happily Ever After Made Asuelu was “better,” because it allowed her introspection.
Kalani and Asuelu had their fair share of problems during their stay 90 day fiancé and the spin-off 90 Day Fiancé: Happy Forever? While reality can ruin most relationships with over-the-top false plots, or be in the public eye, it seems like showing up on 90 Day Fiancé: Happy Forever? may have worked in favor of their relationship.
Kalani and Asuelu’s relationship started out as a vacation romance, but their honeymoon phase ended as quickly as it started when Kalani found out she was pregnant. Life came to them quickly. During the first months of their baby’s life, Asuelu was in Samoa which left a bad taste in the mouths of Kalani families. They managed to get married; however, things changed when they appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: Happy Forever? Their age difference started to show as Asuelu handled all the fights they had immature and even stooping so low that she called him a “B ** ch” in front of Kalani’s mother and children. Asuelu and Kalani have also started bumping into each other over the issue of sending money to his family. Asuelu wanted to send his family more money than he and Kalani had to give, and that wasn’t why she was there. Kalani put her foot down, mostly because Asuelu was the only one working while she looked after their two children. Her family verbally assaulted Kalani, and Asuelu’s sister even tried to fight her. It had all become too much and Kalani was considering leaving Asuelu.

However, it appears that appearing on the show may have saved her marriage. In an interview with AND, she said, “It just made him better because a lot of people attacked him, so it made him look at himself and say, ‘Yeah, I probably shouldn’t talk like that or do things like that. “So I think overall it probably helped our relationship more than anything. “ Asuelu agrees because he even said his lowest point called him a “Lying b ** ch” in front of his mom. Their fights were hard to watch, but it ultimately helped Asuelu reassess and want to make a change.
When the pandemic started, Asuelu was incredibly flippant about the virus and he kept coming out. This stressed Kalani, because they had two small children. But Asuelu began to heed his warnings and began to take action to work on their communication and relationships. “I look at him and I hate him, and I don’t want to be that person, but you know, it’s good. I learned this is a good lesson.
Now Kalani and Asuelu should appear on one another 90 day fiancé spin off Love games, which Kalani admits made them realize that they didn’t know each other very well. However, they are working on their relationship and seem to get along now.
